Selling a Mac in Cape Town doesn't need Cape Town.

Selling privately usually goes like this: you post an ad, a stranger messages you at eleven at night, you agree to meet at a garage forecourt because it feels safer than giving out your address, and then they try to talk the price down once they're actually holding your MacBook. Or you take it to a pawn shop and watch someone find a scratch you already told them about, and use it to shave a few hundred rand off an offer that wasn't generous to begin with.

None of that has anything to do with being in Cape Town. It's just what happens when you sell something valuable to a stranger, in person, with no paper trail. A courier with a tracking number and an insured parcel does the opposite job: no stranger, no forecourt, no renegotiating once your Mac has left your hands. The only thing distance actually changes is how many working days the courier needs. From Cape Town, that's two.
